The Position:
We're looking for passionate Healthcare Schedulers who are responsible for the coordination of health care activities and services for clients. This position works with physicians, medical professionals, client families and other health care team members to ensure services are coordinated and provided appropriately for the client. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and interacting with clients via telephone, face to face, email, and performs a range of duties which includes gathering required information in preparation for the client's appointments, including but not limited to: initiating and answering calls to assist clients in establishing/scheduling, changing, or canceling appointments, ensuring clients have access to the services to complete appointments or related services, accurately recording client information, preventing double-bookings, taking messages, and routing calls as appropriate.
- Coordinates and assists with appointments to ensure overall program efficiency and optimizing the providers' ability to serve clients.
- Manages high volume inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
- Responds to all incoming calls from clients, makes appointments, and answers general questions and inquiries.
- Maintains registration flow by efficiently moving clients through the process and readying them for service
Requirements:
- This position requires attention to detail, impeccable phone etiquette and customer service, and working knowledge of common medical terminology.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a medical receptionist, customer service or call center representative role.
- Prior call center or scheduler experience in a medical setting (preferred).
- Experience with electronic scheduling system and electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
- High school graduate or equivalent, and/or combination of education and experience.
