Working rotating 12 hours shifts to cover 24/7 workload. 36 hours per week. Overtime required as needed.

Description of Position

Applies the nursing process through assessment, formulating nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients, following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center.  Collaborates with physicians and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding patient-care needs as appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements

Medical Surgical: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required.  Basic Life Support (BLS) required, with recertification once every two years.

Critical Care & Progressive Care:  Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required.   Minimum one (1) year critical care nursing experience, required.  Completion of a basic critical care course, or equivalent.  Required Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required, with recertification once every two years.
