POSTIONS AVAILABLE IN:
Case Management
Essential functions:
- Provides quality case management to include supportive counseling, service coordination/advocacy, and crisis support for our guests and clients in the community.
- IHS has many tailored case management solutions. We need case managers who can work with and advocate for families, children, individuals with substance abuse issues, mental illness, dual diagnosis as well as programs with case managers who can connect our clients to valuable community resources.
Requirements:
- Minimum HS Diploma/GED equivalent. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in social work, psychology, human services or related field.
- Must have 1 ½ years of specialized experience in human services with an emphasis on working within varying areas including public safety system, with ex-offenders and parolees, and with individuals affected with substance abuse, mental illness and/or dual diagnosis.
- Able to counsel and advocate for those most in need.
Guest Services
Essential functions:
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all guests and clients of IHS.
- Assist with meeting guests' needs, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and understood while treating our guests with respect and dignity.
- De-escalate conflict and ensure environment is free of safety hazards.
- Applicants with cooking experience may work in our Meal Program Team feeding our guests and those in need in our community!
Requirements:
- Minimum HS Diploma/GED equivalent.
- At least one year of strong customer service or experience in group home settings.
- Mission driven with genuine desire to serve and help others.
- Available to work various shifts, holidays and weekends (mornings, swings and overnight shifts available)
We are also searching for:
Outreach Specialists (OS)- The right person is a self starter willing to seek out and advocate for the homeless in our community. The OS connects our clients with the right resources to help them get on the path to a better life.
Housing Specialists and/or Associates - We need people to join this team of dedicated folks who are committed to finding a safe, decent and affordable home for everyone. The housing positions work closely with at risk and homeless individuals and families to ensure everyone has a right to housing!
Custodians - Help us keep our shelters and homes safe and healthy for those we serve. Some of our guests are the most medically vulnerable in our community. If you have great attention to detail, good experience in cleaning commercial and/or residential sites and just want to be a part of the solution to homeless, we need you!
Administration - We are seeking qualified professionals with backgrounds in business and accounting who want to work for a mission driven organization. Apply your talents and skills in an environment that provides hope and care for those most in need.
