Job Description
Position Title: Advancement Specialist – Pledge/Online
Reports to: Vice President of Advancement
Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt
Position Summary:
Coordinate fundraising programs and services to support PBS Hawaii’s individual donor program.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrate ability to accurately and efficiently enter information in a donor database and produce reports relative to departmental needs.
Assist in coordinating on-air pledge drives, including the timely acquisition of incentive premiums and gifts, and providing pledge level information to appropriate staff.
Assign pledge drive premium codes and input pledge break detail into the donor database.
Coordinate pledge premium fulfillment in a timely and efficient manner, including tracking, ordering, reconciling and updating in-house staff.
Maintain regular contact with MyPBS and remain current on premium/membership updates.
Manage back-end processing of online donations, including generating monthly Cybercash/Web reports.
Ensure that the Advancement Department pages of the PBS Hawaii Web site are updated, accurate and functioning. This includes online donation forms and the pledge store.
Assist the Department with data entry, direct mail solicitation mailings, and donor inquiries and requests as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Demonstrated experience with computer information systems, including Windows and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Adobe Graphics Suite is a plus.
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational abilities. Ability to deal with customer/donor on the phone or by email is a necessary to the position.
Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required.
Must be able to work some evenings and weekends on a flex schedule.
Knowledge of principles, techniques and practices of fund raising preferred.
