This is an integral role within the team and will focus on assisting with benefits administration, recruitment, payroll, and employee relations. Pay is $45,000-$55,000 and includes benefits like free parking, 11 paid holidays, and more!

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Specialist

• Assist with benefits administration, including: communicating benefits information to employees, claim resolution, and approving invoices for payment

• Maintain relationships with union officials and adheres to contract terms through monitoring implementation of policies

• Support the department with daily HR functions, including recruitment and employee relations

• Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with federal wage laws. Maintain the payroll database

HR Specialist Education and Experience

• 2+ years of HR experience

• Possess general knowledge of employment laws and practices, benefits, and payroll

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

• Knowledge and experience with ADP Workforce Now is a bonus!

• Bachelor's degree in HR or relevant field is preferred
