Courthouse Reporter
Courthouse News Service is seeking a reporter to cover civil state and federal courts filings in Honolulu and write stories of national interest. Competitive pay is offered. Paid journalism experience is not required, but demonstrated writing ability would be considered a bonus.
The job includes writing regional stories of national interest for our news website and reporting on new lawsuits filed in the state and federal courts in Hawaii on Monday through Friday afternoons. Though our focus is legal news, the reporter will also be expected to pitch general news stories and features. The job should take approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, but could become more substantial. We are looking for a hungry reporter to help expand our news coverage in Hawaii.
Please email cover letter and resume in Word or PDF format with Honolulu in the subject line. Address the email to Chris Marshall, Western Bureau Chief.
