Title: Administrative Specialist II (SR-22)
Salary: $55,200 per year

Position Information:
Performs the full range and variety of assignments relating to the administrative services functions of a department, such as personnel management, budget and fiscal administration, management analysis, and related areas; analyzes and prepares reports on a variety of administrative and operational functions and problems; provides management advisory services on such matters; and performs other related duties as required.
There are four current vacancies. Two vacancies with the Department of Facility Maintenance, with one vacancy in the Road Maintenance Division located in Halawa and one vacancy in the Storm Water Quality Division located in Kapolei; one vacancy is with the Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Treatment & Disposal Division; and one vacancy with the Department of Customer Services in the Administration Division. This list may be used to fill future vacancies in this and/or other departments.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related field.
Work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of professional (i.e., post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) work experience in budget administration, personnel management, or management analysis. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of basic principles and practices of public administration including personnel management, budget and fiscal administration, and organization and method analysis; methods and techniques for evaluating and analyzing facts, information, and issues to resolve problems; research and statistical methods and techniques; and report and letter writing. Such experience must also have demonstrated the ability to analyze and evaluate administrative problems, operations, programs, and fiscal information.
