As a system medical director Hawaii Pacific Health (HPH) you will be responsible for the strategic alignment between the health system and USACS and overall performance of our relationship with HPH. The two site Medical Directors will report to the System Director and the role will report to the Regional President.

Annual ED patient census for all 2 sites is projected to be 80,000.

Details

  • Collaborate with site medical directors, nursing leadership, hospital administration and HPH System leadership to insure high performance of the EM services
  • Mentor site leaders, ensure high performance of site leadership and develop emerging leader in the system to support current needs and future growth
  • Be a thought partner to help craft solutions to HPH strategic priorities by collaborating with USACS leadership company-wide to bring best practices to local relationship
  • Partner with HPH System leadership to successfully navigate their transition to Value Based Care
  • Partner with HPHMG leadership to evolve the practice of Emergency Medicine in the system and chart the path to innovative service models which will drive future value and improve outcomes in the acute, unscheduled care continuum. In particular, partner and collaborate with the leader of the employed EM practice (HPHMG) to refine and evolve the delivery of unscheduled care in Oahu and the broader HPH system
  • Be an effective leader of change within HPH system to continually evolve and improve care
  • Ensure excellence of quality and risk management in our practices by ensuring our clinicians are utilizing the company tools
  • Align system priorities with USACS priorities to ensure the continued advancement of our primary outcomes:
    • Patients (Quality, Risk Management and Patient Experience)
    • People (High level of engagement and a sustainable, supportive environment for our clinicians)
    • Partners (Engagement and exceeding expectations of our Health System partners)
    • Deliver positive results in these primary outcomes while delivering the financial results expected of the system relationship
  • Partner with USACS MSO leaders to evolve our relationships with payers in HI
  • Build relationships and collaborate with other large EM/HM practices in HI to advance the care of patients in our communities
  • Represent the ED in the community and within the System medical staff
